The IPC-IG reviewed key concepts and proposed a methodology for assessing the coverage of social protection programmes, which is reflected in the project’s final report, the Social Protection Coverage Toolkit. In addition, it developed a country case study on social protection coverage in Sudan, based on the analysis of data from Sudan’s National Household Budget Survey 2014 and on information provided by government stakeholders during face-to-face consultations conducted in September 2019. Finally, the research team also supported FAO’s Regional Office in the Near East and North Africa (NENA) in producing a Working Paper on the current social insurance for agricultural workers in the region.
